The annual Somerset Young Carers barbecue, hosted by The Rotary Club of Frome, was once again held in the beautiful gardens at the home of June and David Millard.
The Rotary club says, “We are always delighted to organise this event, entertaining these wonderful young people who daily look after their parents and relations. This year we had a Karaoke machine which proved very popular, and it was felt one or two should enter ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’
“There was the usual enjoyable inflatables, jousting, wrestling and slides, two vintage cars arrived, tennis, skittles and croquet and boules were available. We must not forget the quiz and the wellie throwing competition.
“The barbecue proved to be very popular, not only with the young carers, but to Rotarians and their wives also.
“Rotarians give a tremendous “thank you” to David our host and June the hostess with the mostest who also provided all the food and drink. A really fantastic evening was enjoyed by one and all.”
