CHRISTMAS can be a hard time for many people for a variety of reasons. This year, with the impact of Covid-19 and the current financial challenges continuing to affect people, Christmas may be especially difficult for many.
A team of volunteers, local organisations and businesses are coming together for the tenth year to organise Frome’s Big Christmas Get Together, a community celebration for all. They will repeat the success of last year’s home-delivered hampers by providing people with a meal, along with a chance to collect them from three locations across Frome and enjoy refreshments and friendly festive company.
The organisers say, “Last year’s alternative Christmas Get Together made a big difference to hundreds of people in our community and this year will be the same, ensuring no-one is forgotten or is alone on Christmas Day.”
More details will be available later this month in local press, Fair Frome, Active & In Touch, Frome Medical Centre, Frome Library and social media.
