Frome Ukulele Club will be playing at The Cornerhouse (20th December) in Frome as part of their ‘Christmas Carnage’ tour.
Bringing in new songs this year, along with a few Christmas favourites, the Ukulele Club will be playing “en masse” – that means as “The Mighty Frukes.” There may be up to 40 people performing, although not necessarily at the same time! The concert is free to attend, but as The Frukes are raising funds for Fair Frome this year, the buckets will be passed round for donations. The event starts at 8pm.
Frome Ukulele Club is also pleased to announce that they will be hosting a second Frome Ukulele Festival on March 28th 2020. After the success of the 2019 festival, the club has decided to go for an even bigger event, drawing in performers from as far away as Bath, Hampshire and Italy, as well as Frome, of course.
Tickets for the festival are already available from The Cheese and Grain and from the website – www.fromeukulelefestival.org
As last year, the day is filled with workshops for ukulele players, while the evening features a concert that is open to all. There is an “early bird” discount for those who book before the end of January.
