FROME Ukelele Club recently donated £1,000 to the Routes drop-in advice centre for young people.
Members of Frome Ukulele Club, aka the ‘Frukes’, presented a cheque for £1,000 to Sarah Stobbart and Lucy Simpson of Routes Drop-in Centre, based at the YMCA in Frome.
The money was raised by the club at their charity concert ‘The Frukes Spring Shindig’.
The money will be used to help Frome’s most vulnerable young people.
Richard Ackroyd, town councillor and chair of the Frukes explained, “When we looked at which charities to support this year, Routes Drop-in Centre was a very popular option with all our members. We are very happy to support such a valuable service and wish all the staff and volunteers at Routes the very best for the future.”
