A community fun day is being held this month in memory of a Frome man who lost his life in a road traffic collision 10 years ago.
Stuart Lange died in a road traffic collision in 2016. Since his death, friends and family have come together each year to host LangeFest in his memory.
This year’s event will take place on Sunday 12th July at Gouldy 08 on the Critchill Manor Estate, raising funds for Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
The day will begin with a motorcycle ride-out, with riders meeting at Frome Railway Station at 9am before travelling to the venue.
A family day will follow from 11am, featuring a BBQ, raffle, sweet stall, music and a show and shine competition for cars and motorcycles.
“In Stuart’s memory, LangeFest has become an opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate life and raise vital funds for causes that make a real difference,” said one of the organisers, Abbi Prin.
“Ten years on, Stuart remains deeply missed by everyone who knew him. LangeFest is a chance to remember him, celebrate the friendships and community spirit he inspired and raise money for a charity that provides critical care when people need it most.
“We hope the event will bring together bikers, motorists, families and local residents to honour Stuart’s memory while supporting an essential emergency service.”
The event is free to attend and open to all. Entry for the ride-out costs £5 per bike.
