LOCAL fundraiser, Shane Ibbitson, presented a cheque for £630.29 to the Bath Royal United Hospital charity, the Forever Friends Appeal.
Shane raised the money by shaving her head at a fundraising event last month, cheered on by the mayor of Frome, cllr Mark Dorrington. Shane’s hair was donated to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to children that have lost their own hair due to cancer treatment or other illnesses.
The money raised will go towards the new cancer care unit currently being built at the hospital.
