Frome Gateway Club recently held a raffle to help members feel connected during lockdown.
The club – which provides social activities and friendship to adults, young and old, with learning disabilities – says, “Lockdown has been tough for the members, most of whom are unable to access social media or even phones.
“Some kind folk have donated prizes, and raffle tickets were posted through members doors. Frome Town councillor Paul Horton drew the tickets and prizes were delivered to the 12 winners. Meet-ups in the park made a huge difference to the well-being of members before the winter lockdown and the members are longing to meeting up with friends again.”
