TO celebrate this summer’s GCSE results, Frome College held a four house event to acknowledge the outstanding performances of students from last year’s Year 11 cohort who have returned to Frome College Sixth Form.
The college reports, “Normally, this would be a formal occasion for students and their families, with VIP guests at the Memorial Theatre in Frome. This year, we hosted the occasion in the Sixth Form common room with congratulatory speeches from Ms Reynolds and the heads of house. Special certificates and cups were handed out to nominated students for outstanding achievements, and the prestigious Principal’s Cup was awarded to Ruby Young.
“The students collected their GCSE certificates. Our heartfelt congratulations go out to this year group for fantastic results. Their incredible resilience and hard work through this extraordinary and difficult time has shown us all what determination and commitment to succeed can achieve. We wish them all continued success in sixth form. Very well done ‘Class of 2020’!”
