Helping to alleviate banking concerns in Frome, a representative from NatWest is based the library until 31st July providing support and answering questions.
The representative Kevin Gowan, who has been in the Frome Library for the past four weeks, said, “I am in the Frome library every Monday until 31st July from 9.30am to 1pm to assist with any online and mobile banking queries people may have.”
With the closure of Frome banks, residents are questioning where they will go for face-to-face banking support and cash. NatWest closed in May, HSBC shut on 6th June and Barclays have announced it will close by the end of this year.
A group in Frome are exploring ways to support the community with this and provide a banking hub. To encourage people to share and explore ideas, there is a meeting on Wednesday 5th July at 6pm to 7.30pm, all are welcome to attend.
