Frome Men’s Sheds are teaming up with One Planet Sunday to offer a free fixing session at the Cheese and Grain on Sunday 14th September.
From wobbly chairs to broken toasters, a team of willing volunteers will be on hand to help fix things.
Energy and recycling officer Anna Francis said, “We throw away vast amounts of stuff in the UK. Even things with almost nothing wrong, and which could get a new lease on life after a simple repair.
“The trouble is, lots of people have forgotten that they can repair things themselves or they no longer know how. The Repair Café changes all that. Frome Men’s Sheds is also a great project to get involved with for anyone who wants to brush up their practical skills.”
One Planet Sunday will also offer a Freecycle Swap Shop and clothes ‘Swish’ – so do bring something to swap or repair. For more information on the Café and One Planet Sunday see: www.freco.org
