A GROUP of friends from Frome took part in the Bubble Rush for Dorothy House last month, raising £800 in memory of local man Pat Seviour.
Lucy Selway, along with friends and family completed the ‘Dorothy House Bubble Rush’ in memory of her father Pat, who was cared for by nurses at Dorothy House before he passed away in April.
Lucy said, “It was my sister Bev’s idea to take part because before he died Dad had said he wanted us to support Dorothy House.
“He was in Dorothy House for a week for respite care before he died and he had a nurse with him when he passed away on the 9th April. Dorothy House helped him to have a great week – he had lots of visitors, ate lots of cake and we made some treasured memories there.
“The race was brilliant and we had such a great day for an amazing cause close to our hearts. I know our dad would have been so very proud his girls and grandchildren.
“So far we have raised about £800 but donations are still coming in and people are still donating on our fundraising page. We would like to thank everyone who has donated to such an amazing charity.”
