The cremation took place at Semington Crematorium in Wiltshire on 21st February, of Frank Harbert who died aged 89 in Catherine House Care Home, Frome, on 28th January.
Frank was born in London and lived for much of his life living in Biggin Hill, Kent, working as an engineer. He retired to Shoreham-by-Sea in Sussex and, after being widowed, lived in Mere, Wiltshire to be near his daughter Mary.
Towards the end of his life Frank became extremely deaf. His four daughters, Tricia, Jacky, Jane and Mary, together with his brother Wally, have established a fund in his memory and plan to work with Health Connections Mendip, local voluntary groups and home owners to improve services for deaf people in Frome residential homes.
