A new free webinar empowering parents to help their child overcome anxiety is set to run over two dates this month.
The webinar is set to run on Friday 21st November from 12.30pm to 1.30pm and then again on Wednesday 27th November from 8pm to 9pm.
Delivered by Frome resident, Gill Tree of Stressed Parent, this session will introduce parents to Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) an innovative programme developed at Yale University by child psychologist Dr. Eli Lebowitz.
Director Gill said, “I’m a parenting mentor helping stressed parents go from feeling powerless to empowered. Having been a stressed parent myself as a single mum through adoption, I know what it’s like to feel hostage in your own home, constantly managing your child’s challenging behaviour and living in fear of telling them ‘no.’
“Discovering a parenting approach called Non-Violent Resistance (NVR) transformed my relationship with my son and shifted the dynamics in our home – so much so that I became a qualified practitioner of NVR.
“Now, I dedicate myself to helping other parents find that same confidence and presence, using proven practical tools and strategies that can start to work immediately when applied diligently and with the right support.
“Does your child struggle with anxiety? And is that causing you stress? A new free webinar, Supporting Your Anxious Child, will introduce parents to an evidence-based, parent-focused approach to help children overcome anxiety, without requiring the child to attend therapy.”
