As part of the People’s Budget, Frome Town Council is asking individuals and organisations to submit event ideas which could then go to a public vote in March.
The People’s Budget is a way for local people to make real choices about how local money is spent and there is still time to put forward event suggestions and have the opportunity to secure up to £10,000 to help make it happen.
Cllr Toby Elliot said, “We know there are lots of people with great ideas for events they would like to see take place and the People’s Budget gives them a chance to realise their plans. No-one should be put off; if you need support with your idea just get in touch and we can help.”
Frome Window Wanderland was one of the successful events from last year’s vote and will transform the town’s streets into a magical outdoor gallery for all to enjoy from 1st – 3rd March.
Already over 70 Frome households have already signed up to bring their windows to life, anyone interested in taking part should go to www. windowwanderland. com/event/frome-2019/
Community groups, charity or not-for-profit enterprises are all welcome to apply for the chance to pitch for £10,000 of a £25,000 fund, for events which reflect the town’s strategic aims of supporting Prosperity, Wellbeing and Environment.
So, if you have a really great idea for an event you would like to see in Frome, this is an opportunity to get the funding to help you do it.
The deadline for applications is 4th February but don’t hesitate to get in touch with the council to discuss your event ideas. For terms and conditions and the application form go to www.frometown council.gov.uk/peoples-budget-events/
