FROME Medical Practice is appealing to young people to help set up a youth patient group to improve services available to younger patients.
The practice, alongside Health Connections Mendip, will host a session run by and for young people on Friday 2nd December at 4pm.
Health Connections’s Jenny Hartnoll says, “Are you a young person who is interested in health and wellbeing? Frome Medical Practice and Health Connections Mendip would like to know if young people from Frome and the surrounding area would like to set up a Youth Patient Participation Group.
“The group will help represent the views of young people, giving young people the opportunity to have a voice, discuss issues, engage with decision makers, contribute to improving and developing services and to look at how to involve the community in health and wellbeing issues that affect young people.
“It would be great for as many young people to come along as possible. It would also be great for your CV!
“Come along to Frome Medical Practice on Friday 2nd December at 4pm in the Board Room. The session will be led by young people for young people, and refreshments will be available.”
