the ladies of Frome Inner Wheel met for their monthly meeting on Tuesday 14th October and enjoyed a really interesting talk by Rotarian Ron Crossman, telling some wonderful stories of his experiences on holiday around the world.
A delicious meal followed, supplied by James Morrison Catering the new caterer at the Frome Memorial Theatre Assembly Rooms.
The members gathered together and displayed the 25 shoeboxes that had been donated, which were full of Christmas ‘goodies’ for the under-privileged adults and children around the world.
This is a practice that the members annually fulfil, and they collect some wonderful presents over several months and send them off to the charity SWEEPS, which stands for (South West England European Prayer and Support Group) each year, to be transported to different parts of the world in time for Christmas.
