The Inner Wheel Club of Frome were pleased that their guest speaker this month was their District Chairman Carol Price.
President Yvonne Covill welcomed her to their November monthly meeting and also asked her to perform the enrolment of a new member, Sheridan Curtis, which she did.
After a delicious meal Carol captivated the members with a very interesting talk on how she became a member of Inner Wheel after a teaching career and finishing up at Sherborne Girls School, she went on to promote the Inner Wheel movement with many stories and experiences that she had throughout the years,
Judy Bateson gave the vote of thanks, and finally President Yvonne presented a cheque to Carol for her chosen charity the Alzheimer’s Society, money raised at the Farmers Harvest Festival & Auction in October by the club.
The next event in the calendar is the Carols and Candlelight Supper on Saturday 5th December at Chapmanslade Village Hall, starting at 7.00 for 7.30pm @ £12.50 ph. to include a two-course meal and wine/soft drinks. Tickets are available from Gwen Barnard on 01373 832262. This is a really lovely start to Christmas and all proceeds will go to charity, so please come and join us, we would love to see you.
