The first Pink Ball was organised by friends Jane Cryer and Sue Woodhouse in 2005
This was held at Center Parcs to celebrate Jane’s successful treatment for breast cancer and thankfully five years later they are still celebrating.
The 2010 Pink Ball was held at Center Parcs in November and has been hailed ‘as the best one yet’! Over 260 guests arrived on the night in black tie and ball gowns and after a most enjoyable three course meal proceeded to dance the night away to an excellent band and disco, all of which were arranged by Center Parcs corporate events team.
The event raised over £4,600 on the night and brings the grand total so far over the four Pink Balls to approximately £20,000. Monies in previous years have been donated to Breast Cancer Care, Ovarian Cancer, Cancer Research & Dorothy House. The money raised this year will be divided between Cancer Research and The Breast Cancer Campaign.
Needless to say Jane and Sue would like to thank everyone for their continued support and help with The Pink Ball, especially their guests, The Center Parcs corporate team and front of house employees.
A special thank you to Warminster Lions who organised the raffle and also to friends and family who made donations of cash and raffle prizes.
They would also like to thank Center Parcs who once again kindly donated a holiday break for six people for the ‘money in the envelope‘ draw.
Once again thank you David Wiltshire Photography in Warminster who supported the event and was on hand to take photographs of the guests.
