The Mayor of Frome, Cllr. Nick White, is calling all children aged eight or under who live or go to school in Frome, to enter a competition to design the town’s Christmas card.
The winning entry will be the official Frome Town Council Christmas Card that the Mayor will send to various local organisations and individuals.
Cllr. Nick White said, “I would like as many children as possible to enter. The design is up to you and it can be as colourful as you like. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and the winners gets to assist me with switching on the Christmas lights at the Christmas Extravaganza on 26th November.
“All entries will also be displayed at the town council office in Palmer Street, so you will be able to see them in the window over the festive season.”
The follow criteria should be followed:
• It should be A5 in size
• It must be your own original image
• It must be a flat image
Closing date for entries is 5.00pm Wednesday 16th November and please remember to write your name, age and address or school on the back of the entry. Please send entries to: Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition, Frome Town Council, 5 Palmer Street, Frome, Somerset, BA11 1DS.
