If you missed seeing the familiar faces from The Merlin Theatre Company, then fear not – they are back together for one day only on Sunday 20th December with a brand new show written by Allison Herbert.
The story follows the adventures of Dorothy (Wizard of Oz) and Gerda (the Snow Queen) as they search for Kansas and Kay tripping through past pantomimes, whilst meeting some favourite characters along the way.
Whatever happened to Bert and Elsie Crow (Snow Queen)? Will Toto be safe? Is the Kingfisher still bonkers? Has Cinderella found her Prince, or her clothes? Maybe Widow Twankey and Wishee Washee can offer assistance. Does Sleeping Beauty ever wake up? How do the tap dancing penguins help? Does nasty Hernia (Sleeping Beauty) still eat baby pies? Will Red Riding Hood and Grandma ever be safe in the woods? Will the Big Bad Wolf eat them all up?
The two girls end up in America where they encounter juvenile delinquents in the form of the Jets (West Side Story) and the wicked gin soaked Fairy Delores (Beauty and the Beast).
Dorothy is finally reunited with the Tim Man, Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion, but what happens when Gerda ends up once again in the evil Snow Queen’s clutches?
A festive, family, delightful one-off Merlin Christmas show with all of the effects, colourful characters and magic that makes the Merlin shows so special.
The 2.00pm performance has already sold out, but there are tickets available for the 7.00pm show.
Tickets cost £9 and are available from the box office on 01373 465949 or you can reserve on line rosie@merlintheatre.co.uk
