If you love to sing and have afternoons free, then there’s a new no-audition community choir starting in Frome just for you.
The Frome Good Afternoon choir is being launched on Monday 13th November at Holy Trinity Church at 2pm-4pm and everyone is welcome to go along and find out more about how singing in the afternoon is great fun!
Bath’s Mr Music, Grenville Jones, has a reputation for getting hundreds of people singing and he is the man behind the new daytime no-audition community choir for people in and around Frome. The Good Afternoon choirs are one of his hugely successful choir projects, with over 500 singers in the Bath, Devizes, Keynsham, Bristol, Yate & Chipping Sodbury and Thornbury weekly groups.
The Frome Good Afternoon Choir will meet at Holy Trinity Church (BA11 3DE) on Mondays. There is no charge for attending the first get-together and full membership details will then be available to take away.
Talented musician and singer, Matt Finch, is one of the area’s leading lights, well known as the MD for Bath Light Operatic Group. Matt will lead the Frome Good Afternoon Choir, supported by the choir’s project leader and founder Grenville Jones.
“Come along and find out how afternoon singing can be such fun,” said Grenville. “There’s no auditions and we’ll sing popular songs in unison and harmony. There will be concerts and performances as the choir develops in the months ahead. See you on the 13th.”
