The next season of Stolen Moments, a free Saturday afternoon jazz session, is due to start this month at Christ Church.
Enjoy live jazz performed by top musicians in a friendly atmosphere with homemade cakes. The session on 11th January is titled Ambient Explorations and will see pianist and Stolen Moments organiser Keith Harrison-Broninski play alongside bassist Al Swainger, who performed with Keith in the very first Stolen Moments session.
Al returns to further develop their intricate original compositions, fusing acoustics and electronica.
February’s session, titled What I’m Talking About, is due to run on 8th February, featuring Sam Crockatt and Henrik Jensen. Sam Crockatt plays saxophone, and Henrik Jensen plays double bass. Both will join Keith for more lyrical original compositions and jazz versions of esoteric folk tunes.
The events run from 3pm to 5pm.
