The Cheese & Grain has launched an ambitious £25,000 JustGiving campaign to equip its ground-breaking recording studio.
The plan is to turn the studio into a ‘creative, innovative and inspiring music making hub’.
“We’ve launched a JustGiving fundraiser to finance the studio equipment called Help Plug In which is now live,” says the community-run venue. “There is a lack of opportunity for musically talented and creative young people to develop and progress their skills. The recording studio will hopefully fill this gap and also be used as a rehearsal space and a film studio.
“Attaining qualifications and training has become too expensive for many. Rehearsal space and support to get started is hard to find.
“Creating a music industry education hub and training, it will enable and empower a new generation of creatives. It will be developed to professional music industry standards – the kind of studio normally only accessible to the already successful.
“Three local, young, up and coming musicians, Solo Candy, Sky Witty and Cole Wylie are joining the campaign. They need your help to raise £25,000 to transform this empty space into a creative, innovative and inspiring music making hub.
“All donations are very welcome no matter how small, if you can help please visit www.justgiving.com/campaign/ helpplugin or go to cheeseandgrain.com.
