Frome Lions Club say they are indebted to two groups of keen knitters in the town who very kindly presented them with a several bags of knitted teddies, following an appeal by Frome Lion Allison Rumming.
The Lions say, “The ladies from both the Longleat Court Knit & Natters and the Blue House Knit & Natters groups answered her request and got to work producing in total almost a hundred teddies, which were then passed on to local charity (RAISE Refugee Action In Somerset East) who will be forwarding them for distribution to young children affected by the Syrian conflict and who are languishing in refugee camps in Greece.
