Frome Lions Club have presented a cheque for £3,500, the proceeds from their annual Charity Golf Day, to Julian Wort’s Memorial Fund, for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
Julian’s mother, Shirley Wort, received the cheque from Lions Keith McLeod and Jim Dowling from the Frome club.
The Lions’ Charity Golf Day was held on May 12th at Orchardleigh Golf Club.
Another screening day has been booked for June 30th 2018, and thanks to the donation from Frome Lions, 100 young people aged 14 – 35 will be screened through CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young) in memory of Julian.
