THE Lions club of Frome recently donated £5,500 to Dorothy House Hospice thanks to proceeds collected from the Lions Sportsman’s Dinner held earlier this year at Elmhay Park, Orchardleigh Park.
This year there were two chosen charities for the Sportsman’s Dinner, namely the Children’s Hospice (South West) which exists to make the most of the lives of children and young people with life limiting conditions and Dorothy House Hospice which is well known in the Frome area for their work of providing exceptional personal care and support to those approaching the end of their lives, and to their loved ones.
