OVER £10,000 was raised for the Dorset & Somerset Air Ambulance at the Frome Lions sportsman’s dinner held at Orchardleigh House last month where 1985 world snooker champion, Dennis Taylor, was guest of honour.
Lion Mike Geake said, “Nearly 200 guests enjoyed a superb meal in the sumptuous surroundings of the orangery at Orchardleigh, by kind permission of Mr Chris Vincent, before being regaled by the guest speaker, 1985 world snooker champion, Dennis Taylor. An auction of donated items held during the evening boosted the total raised to £10,750.
