THE Lions Club of Frome will be holding their annual Summer Fete this year on Saturday 17th July between 12.30pm and 16.00pm at Victoria Park, Frome.
The fete is a well-established Frome event but had to be cancelled last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lion Mike Geake explains, “With the current relaxing of regulations we have decided to hold it on the 17th July, a little later than the traditional date in June. Also, with a few regulations still in place we have had to make some changes to our usual practices. We are unable this year to supply tables for hire and request that all stall holders bring their own. We may also have to curtail some if not all the ring events, but we will still hope to have many of the old favourites such as train rides, coconut shy, bouncy castle and hot dog stall.
“Organisations or individuals are invited to book a pitch for this year’s event. The fees for pitches, which are 3 meters wide, are £15.00 for 1 & £22.50 for 2. Pitch space is limited & will be allocated strictly on a first come basis, so you are advised to book as soon as possible. Completed forms should be returned by no later than 30th June. Charges for pitches will be waived for registered charities.
“Booking forms can be obtained from either our website at www.fromelions.org.uk or emailing mike.geake@fromelions.org.uk”
