Frome’s Independent visual recording studio, Visual Radio Arts, will be hosting two free online gigs next week.
On Friday 1st June, at 9pm, Leicester-based rock band Final Coil will play a blistering live set. The band are described as a quintessentially English take on alternative rock, combining crushing riffs with ethereal, post-rock soundscapes; weaving stately, Gilmour-esque solos into the dense, metallic riffs and experiment with layers of vocal harmonies reminiscent of Alice in Chains and Anathema.
Next up on Saturday 2nd June at 2pm, acoustic duo Larkham and Hall will perform a blend of folk, poetry and rock’n’roll when they visit the Soundcheck studio.
Soundcheck is a free to air online video music show, broadcasting onto Facebook Live from (www.facebook.com/visualradioarts) and through the Visual Radio Arts website (www.visual radioarts.co.uk). There are over 70 live performances available to watch now on your laptop, smartphone or smart TV with more added each month.
Lovers of live music can also listen to Soundcheck Radio – a continuous stream of over 750 live music tracks recorded on Soundcheck sessions. Just drop by the Visual Radio Arts website at www. visualradioarts.co.uk/soundcheck-radio.
If you love live music and you’d like to join the volunteer production team as a presenter, camera op, audio engineer or to help with live messaging with fans during each show, then message @visualradioarts on Facebook or Twitter or email hello@visualradioarts.co.uk.
