RAISE – Refugee Action in Somerset East – urgently needs your help and/or donations for men, women and children in Calais and Syria.
Can you spare any of the following in good, clean condition? • Blankets, sleeping bags, camping mats, tents (for four people or more), rucksacks, emergency foil blankets • Men’s clothing, especially new underwear, waterproof jackets or trousers, trainers and walking boots, hats, scarves and gloves, warm and easy-dry clothing like fleeces • Women’s clothing, especially new underwear, waterproof coats, long sleeved tops, trousers, boots and shoes ~ no heels. (Only modest clothing, please – nothing skimpy) • Clothes for children and babies, especially new underwear, easy care clothes (no school uniforms, please)
Donations are welcomed every Monday and Wednesday in April between 2.30-4.30pm at Your Storage Space, Unit 1, Wallbridge, Frome (BA11 5JZ). Other ways to help include printing posters and fliers from their website (raise.today) and distributing them for display in shops and on noticeboards. And, of course, any cash or online donations via the website will be much appreciated.
