The Frome Food Assembly is holding its next local food tasting extravaganza on Wednesday 24th February to welcome four new suppliers.
Organiser Pia McGee said, “We are delighted to offer customers more organic options. Organic meat is now available from not one but two suppliers; Coombe Farm Organic in Roundham will offer organic beef, lamb, pork and chicken, and Cools Farm from East Knoyle will offer organic, grass fed, Red Poll beef.
“In addition to meat, we are also really pleased to offer organic household and laundry products from a family business based in Dulverton, who offer beautifully fragranced products using organic essential oils, and a ‘nonscents’ range that aims to be as pure and hypoallergenic as possible.
“Last but not least, we are pleased to supplement our bakery range with Taylors of Bruton, a third generation family firm who will be offering sourdough as well as a tempting range of brioche, croissants, and baguettes.”
The Frome Food Assembly, recently featured on BBC ‘Countryfile’ and Radio 4’s ‘Farming Today’ programme, now has over 2,200 local members.
Co-host Lindsay Downes added, “Everybody is welcome to come along. You don’t need to be a member or to have placed an order – bring your family and friends to the Steiner School Main Hall on Wednesday 24th February, 5.30-7.30pm and taste the best produce Frome and its surrounding area have to offer.”
