Loops Disco, the monthly club night for people with disabilities, learning disabilities and autism in Frome, has seen lots of activity recently.
Organisers say, “The disco takes place on the first Tuesday of every month at 23 Bath Street, making full use of their great lighting, sound system and friendly staff. Now you can come to Loops Disco and dance the night away from the age of 14, as long as you are accompanied by a parent or carer.
“Recently Loops Disco was awarded £200 courtesy of Asda’s green token scheme. This has allowed Loops to get some great sensory gear, including light-up gloves, some amazing inflatables shakers and instruments, as well as light-up tambourines.
“Trainee DJ Colin is now fully trained and thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, Loops Disco can now offer their services as a mobile disco. DJs Ben and Colin are available to play at any event from a birthday party to a community event and at very reasonable price.
“Loops are also looking for more volunteers to join the team, to be a supportive presence at the club nights, dancing with the guests and supporting the clubbers to make the most out of the night and to stay safe.
“The next Loops Disco is on Tuesday 3rd April, doors open at 7.00pm with music starting at 7.30pm until 9.30pm. Entry is £3 for people aged 14 and up, parents and carers are free, under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.”
