Frome resident, Sue Bourne, has won £1,000 on the Frome Community Lottery.
This is the second big win this year by a Frome player. Sue was very surprised to have won as she had only recently taken out the £1 a week subscription.
She said “I have been meaning to join for a long time, as I am in favour of supporting local initiatives. I recently cancelled my regular payment to the National Lottery and joined the local lottery instead. Just 6-8 weeks later, I came back home to find the letter saying I had won £1,000. I had to read it several times to make sure it was true!”
Members of the Frome Community Lottery pay a weekly subscription of £1, of which half is returned to Frome to be spent on local projects. Players have a chance to win up to £25,000 each week by matching numbers drawn that week. Sue correctly matched 5 out of 6 numbers to win her prize.
