Fair Frome’s holiday lunch scheme has received a very welcome £1,000 boost from the Asda Foundation this week.
The scheme provides a hot two-course meal, three times a week throughout the summer holidays, as part of the Children’s Festival’s Family Holiday Fun scheme. Summer lunchin’ can potentially offer up to 500 meals after the activity sessions, and is primarily targeted at families who receive free school meals; all other participants can also enjoy the food for a donation of £2 per head.
