The Southern Co-operative funeral co-ordinators from across the South West came together with The Artisan Pub, Frome to host a Mad March Tea Party raising over £100 for local cancer counselling charity, ‘We Hear You’.
Funeral co-ordinators Jayne Keitch, Lisa Smart, Suzanne Smith and Karen Coleman from The Southern Co-operative Funeralcare homes in Frome, Shaftesbury and Westbury retrospectively, brought a selection of homemade cakes to sell at the coffee morning held at The Artisan Pub in Frome.
Jayne Keitch, funeral co-ordinator for The Southern Co-operative Funeralcare on Nunney Road, Frome said, “Our Mad March Tea Party was a great success! We were surprised at just how many people turned up on the day and were thrilled to raise over £100 for such an impactful local charity who helps those affected by cancer. It really was a lovely morning.”
An abundance of people turned up to the morning ready to scoff tasty homemade cakes, slurp coffee, have a gossip and donate to charity. A hamper of goodies from The Southern Co-operative Food was also raffled off to a lucky winner.
‘We Hear You’ (WHY) is a free professional one-to-one counselling service for anyone affected by a diagnosis of cancer or another life threatening illness. This includes any family, friends and carers as well as patients.
