Have you or someone you know been affected by Cancer?
On Saturday 5th March there’s an opportunity to help raise funds for two worthwhile cancer charities. Make time for Tea is being held at 7 Masons Way Frome (BA11 4QD) from 11.00am-5.00pm.
The two charities benefitting from the proceeds of this event are the Eve appeal and We hear you …cancer counselling.
March is ovarian cancer month and the Eve appeal is raising awareness of fighting womens’ cancers. Every day 55 women in the UK will be diagnosed with a gynaecological cancer…… and of those 21 will die because of it. These cancers kill women and destroy families. The Eve appeal is determined to change this with your help
We hear you…. cancer counselling, the new name for PAC Positive Action on Cancer, is a local charity providing invaluable support to those directly and indirectly affected by Cancer. They provide a safe space where people can say the unsayable, and ask the unanswerable. The charity provides free professional counselling to help people cope with the challenges they face.
In addition there will be a Specialist Gynaecological nurse giving short talks at 11.30am and 3.00pm, she’ll also be on hand all day to offer one to one advice for anyone who needs it.
Come along and enjoy teas, coffees and delicious cakes. There will also be a raffle with prizes kindly donated by local businesses.
Everyone should Make Time for Tea so come along to 7 Masons Way and show your support for these two important charities.
