THE card will be sent out to wish a Happy Christmas to lots of people in the town. The mayor hopes that people will set about designing the card in school and at home.
He says, “This year’s theme is ‘Christmas in Frome’, and I want entrants to let their imaginations run wild! It might be your favourite place to be in Frome at Christmastime, or where you think Father Christmas might land in the town.
“There is so much creativity in the town and I have no doubt that there will be some great designs. Anything that relates to the mayor’s charities might have an edge!”
The entries will be displayed in the window of the Palmer Street town council offices and posted on the mayor’s Facebook page, and there will be prizes for the winner and runners-up. The winner will also assist the Mayor of Frome in switching on the Christmas lights at the town’s Christmas Extravaganza on 30th November.
The closing date for entries is Friday 5th November at 5.00pm. Please send entries to: Mayor’s Christmas Card Competition, Frome Town Council, 5 Palmer Street, Frome, BA11 1DS. Don’t forget to write your name, age, address and name of school on the back of the entry.
