BATH Cats and Dogs Home was recently paid a visit by the Mayor of Frome, councillor Kate Bielby, as the charity looks to extend its support network in the town.
The charity, which rescues and rehomes over 1,300 stray, unwanted and abandoned pets every year, recently started a Frome community group to organise fundraising events in the area.
Fundraiser Zena Jones said, “During the visit Kate learnt about the care the animals receive at the home and she met some of the current residents.
“Bath Cats and Dogs Home is currently looking for support from the local Frome community; volunteers to join the Frome community group, who will be raising funds for the charity, and any local businesses that would like to support us.”
The charity has a shop on Stony Street – to find out more about its work visit the shop, email Zena on zenajones@bcdh.org.uk or visit www.bcdh.org.uk
