MERLIN Theatre Productions will be returning to the stage this year with their Christmas production, The Wind in The Willows, 8th – 11th December.
The Merlin’s in house theatre company say they are delighted to be able to audition performers live once again!
The company report, “Auditions for this classic musical will take place on Sunday 25th July, at the spacious Tri.Art Dance Studios, Marshal Way, Frome.
“Follow Mole, Rat, Badger, and the impulsive Mr. Toad, whose insatiable need for speed lands him in serious trouble. With his beloved home under threat from the notorious Chief Weasel and his gang of sinister Wild Wooders, Toad must attempt a daring escape leading to a series of misadventures and a heroic battle to recapture Toad Hall. The auditions will be for anyone 13 years plus and will be held in a workshop format with group singing, dancing, and acting portions, followed by individual auditions for principal characters.
“Auditionees will need to be a member of Merlin Theatre Productions to audition. You can become a member by paying membership in advance or on the day. Membership is £25 for adults and £10 for children/anyone in full time education.
“Rehearsals for Wind in The Willows will be Mondays and Wednesdays starting early September. Sunday rehearsals will be introduced from November onwards.
“There is a minimum age of 13 years for auditionees unless auditioning for the two child parts available. Children between the age of 8-12 will be auditioned from 9am-10am and will need to be confident singers. Adults (13+) will be required from 10am. Covid-19 restrictions will be in place for auditions and rehearsals as advised by government guidelines.”
