AN evening of music, poetry and food will be held at The Wheatsheaves in Frome next Wednesday.
‘Midwinter Magic’ starts at 6.30pm on Wednesday 21st December and will feature performances from local artists and food from the newly launched ‘CafeMMM’.
There will be original poetry from Graham Owen and Liam Parker. Graham, a priest and former naval officer, will share work from his debut collection ‘An Open Boat’, as well as more recent work.
Liam, a 27 year-old writer and poet, will share his work described as ‘brutally honest’ and ‘filled with hunger, passion and earnestness’.
There will also be live music from Sue Harding and Sara Vian. Sue, a local singer/songwriter, will play music from her new album ‘Flight’, a homage to her heroes Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.
Sara Vian, a Frome singer/songwriter, will also perform. Sara launched her debut album, a collection of nine folk-blues songs, live on FromeFM earlier this year.
The event starts at 6.30pm, with performances from 8pm. Tickets cost £10 each, to include food, and are available from www.midwintermagic.eventbrite.com
