THE Trust managing the Millennium Green is hosting its annual general meeting at Frome Town Hall on Thursday 18th May where a proposal will be heard for the management of the site to be transferred to Frome Town Council.
The trust says, “This meeting will be marking an important milestone as the proposal is for responsibility for managing the site to be formally transferred to Frome Town Council.
“The local community have done a fantastic job of setting up the green, planting, pruning and harvesting the fruit trees and bringing the space to life for the community with apple days and wassails. Now that this has been set up so successfully it is time to pass the baton to the ranger team for the day-to-day management.
“As well as the official business there will be a look back at the many highlights from the community’s involvement going all the way back to 2000 when work began. All are welcome to mark this important occasion in the life of a well-loved community space.”
