FAIR Frome, which runs the town’s food bank, furniture bank, Food at Five, the baby basics bank, the financial assistance scheme and other projects have announced the appointment of a new member of staff, Rebecca Harrison.
Rebecca has been appointed as a new part-time assistant co-ordinator. She will still maintain her connections with Purple Elephant, and will already be familiar with some of the work of Fair Frome, having worked with them in partnership on Holiday Lunches, the popular project that provides activities and meals for targeted families during the school holidays.
Joint chair of Fair Frome, Karen Stewart, said, “We are thrilled that Rebecca is joining our small but dedicated staff at Fair Frome. Rebecca brings with her a wealth of expertise and knowledge. In particular, her previous experience of supporting local families, will I know prove to be a very significant asset for all of us here at Fair Frome.”
Rebecca says she is equally pleased to be joining up with Fair Frome. “I am delighted to be joining such an organisation that is so respected and well-supported in the town,’ she said. “It certainly helps that I have already worked in partnership with Fair Frome before and I am really looking forward to working with the senior co-ordinator Lenka Grimes, together with the trustees, clients and the many volunteers of Fair Frome.”
