The Pod will be launching a new social club in Frome this month, for adults with additional needs and social communication difficulties.
Pod Plus looks forward to welcoming adults who are aged between 18 and 30 years old, at the HUBnub centre on Whittox Lane.
The club will be opening its doors on Monday 27th November and will run every Monday evening from 7pm until 9pm. Alsyon who will be running the club said, “We will be providing a ratio of one adult to 5 participants, if you think you may require more support than this, it will be possible to access the club with a carer, so please do not hesitate in contacting me to discuss this.”
The Pod is delighted to have secured funding from the Greggs Foundation, Lions Club and Woodlanders for Pod Plus.
Sue Paxton, charity manager added, “We are very excited to be able to offer this new club where vulnerable adults can benefit from spending time with their peers in a safe and supported space. Some of the members that will be joining Pod Plus may already attend Pod Youth Club, where they can stay until they are 18 years old.”
Places are limited so if anyone would like to get in touch about a place or has any questions, please telephone the club leader Alyson on 07592 501022 or email info@thepod charity.org.uk
