Frome will host one of Europe’s most exciting and avantgarde funk groups, when the Flammer Dance Band perform at The Tree House on Sunday 22nd September.
Flammer Dance Band, a seven-piece ensemble hailing from Norway, specialises in the captivating world of psychedelic funk with a nod to the funky era of the 1970s. In a world where music often strives for polish, Flammer offers an authentic journey back to the organic roots of funk.
“Flammer offers an unfiltered live experience, marked by unexpected moments, improvisation and an electric atmosphere,” says a promoter, Lukas. They toured UK in August 2023 and had some really successful shows and festivals, including main stage at Shambala. They have had repeat plays from Giles Peterson and Craig Charles over the past few years.
“If you’re seeking a night of hypnotic rhythms and trippy grooves that will move your soul, don’t miss the opportunity to boogie with this Norwegian outfit!”
Doors open at 7.30pm. Advance tickets are £15 plus the standard service charge. Please note this is an 18+ event and the venue is accessed by stairs with no lift. If you have any enquiries please email thetreehouse@cheeseandgrain.com
