STUDENTS of Oakfield Academy took part in Armistice Day recently.
The academy reports, “On a chilly Monday morning, all 650 pupils and staff lined up on the yard to observe two minutes’ silence at 11am for Armistice Day.
“There were powerful readings from 9-year-old Bella Sherab-Chapman (a poem of her own) and 12- year-old Millie Steel (In Flanders Fields), followed by Year 5 tutor, Mr Oates, playing ‘The Last Post’.”
