ONE Voice Community Choir will present a programme of carols, lullabies and popular songs on Saturday 9th December at St John’s Church at 7pm.
Taking part will be the singers from Frome, Rode and local performer Fin Collinson. Tickets are £7 and include mulled wine and mince pies. Tickets can be gained through choir members or 01373 825058 or 07766 244321.
Musician Lee Ingram formed One Voice Community Choir in November 2013 in North Bradley, Wiltshire as an ‘over-60s’ group. The initial idea was that everyone should have the opportunity to sing together, in an informal environment, regardless of experience or musical knowledge.
Gradually, with the age restriction lifted and an expanding list of members, the new choir grew in confidence and ability and began singing for the public. One Voice now has branches in Rode, Devizes, Frome, Melksham and North Bradley.
If you are interested in singing, why not join? There are no auditions, no need to read music and a choice of five weekly meetings. It is fun, friendly and feel-good, with music from the 60s/70s, show songs and popular contemporary bands.
