A film exploring the climate and nature crisis is returning to Frome with a screening at Holy Trinity Church on Saturday 10th October.
The 50-minute People’s Emergency Briefing film will be shown from 7pm to 9pm, followed by a facilitated community discussion on local environmental action in Frome.
The screening follows a previous event held at the Cheese and Grain in May. It is hosted by the Eco Church Team at Holy Trinity Church, with support from Frome Town Council.
The documentary features footage from a national briefing held at Central Hall Westminster in November, where more than 1,200 MPs, peers and sector leaders heard UK experts discuss risks to food security, health, infrastructure and the economy.
Broadcaster Chris Packham opened the original event, calling for a clearer public understanding of the risks facing the UK.
A spokesperson for Frome Town Council said, “The 50-minute film offers a calm, evidence-based look at how the climate and nature crisis is affecting everyday life in Britain, what the science tells us about the risks, and what can be done in response.”
