A free Pickleball England open day is set to run at Frome Tennis Club on Sunday 31st August.
Pickleball is a paddle sport played on a badminton-sized court with a net similar to a tennis net. It combines the elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis.
The open day will run from 10am to 1pm and there will be two Pickleball England coaches attending to help provide advice and tips.
All equipment is provided and children are to be accompanied by a parent or carer.
“Pickleball has really taken off at Frome,” said development and funding officer Mattias Warner. “We have had 31 new members since July, with many current tennis members and community groups joining in too.”
The tennis club is based next to Victoria Park in the Mary Baily Playing Field.
