Get ready with your hessian bags and boxes, as the Frome Selwood Horticultural Society, along with Frome in Bloom, will host their annual plant sale on Saturday 23rd May.
The sale at Selwood Academy will feature tables full of annuals, perennials and vegetables. There will also be plenty of homemade produce, including cakes and jams, as well as garden books and bric-a-brac.
Cash and card payments will be accepted, and the sale will run from 9.30am to 12pm.
Frome is well served for gardening interest groups, and this annual event showcases two of the most established. The Frome Selwood Horticultural Society was founded in 1966, while Frome in Bloom was formed in 1977 and is known for its annual awards for planting in homes, businesses and open spaces.
Organisers say, “To all plant lovers, come and join us in the morning and see what has kept these two gardening groups growing. Don’t forget to bring your own bags, and cash or cards for payment. There is good parking and a small entry donation.”
