Throughout May local charity Positive Action on Cancer will be running a book shop in the Westway Precinct.
The charity will be selling both new and second hand books. The funds raised during this project will help to support the charity’s vital work. PAC offer free, professional counselling to any adults or children affected of bereaved by cancer and other life threatening illnesses. The pop-up shop is being set up in the old Lloyds Pharmacy next to Argos. It will be open every Wednesday and Saturday throughout May plus Sunday 6th and Tuesday 22nd between 10.00am and 4.00pm. The empty shop has been kindly donated by the Westway Management Team. Kelly Hall, fundraiser at PAC said, “This is a really exciting project for PAC and we would like to thank everyone who has donated books. We would also like to thank the volunteers who have made the opening of this pop-up shop possible and Parragon, a publishers based in Bath who have made a very generous donation of books. We hope you will stop by and support the work of PAC!” If you have books you wish to donate to this project please drop them into the shop on one of the open days or for alternative arrangements call Kelly Hall on 01373 455255.
